Bed Bug Exterminators

A friend of mine, Italian living in New York, experienced some bites from one or more bed bugs. She was astonished about that, she never heard about bed bugs, even if in Italy you can find a number of parasites but usually not in bug cities.

I talked with her via skype tonight and she wonder which is the best bed bug exterminator to free her room from those parasites.

Me too, I never heard about bed bugs, even if I had bites from a tick and I had to ER to have it removed (if you try to remove it by your self and break the tick body, the risk of infection increase greatly).

So, with my friend, we seek the net to find solution to exterminate bed bugs and there are tons of sites with a lot of information. Other than cleaning with a vacuum, steam cleaner seems to be a good way to kill the bed bug eggs on floors, mattresses, pillows. High temperature (more than 120 degrees Fahrenheit, about 50 degrees Celsius for Europeans) destroys the bed bug eggs.

Clothes can be washes as usual.

There are insecticides, too, but use with caution and following instructions… I think you don’t want to kill your self too…
