Hi Stefano, yes, what Ian said, is there any chance of getting this compatible with WP 3.0? I guess what needs to be done is a check on blog_id, and assigning unique names for the images by blog_id.

Hi Stefano,

Thank you for this plug-in – i am using it on WordPress 2.9.2 and it works great. I am now creating a new website using WordPress 3.0 with Multi sites enabled. I have tried to use your comment image plug-in again but i have found a problem & was wondering if you are making any amends to allow your plug-in to work with WordPress 3.0?

As your plugin uses the comment ID, across a multi site installation the images get over-written.

e.g.

Site 1 – first comment including img1.jpg
Site 2 – First comment including img2.jpg

When you look back at Site 1 the image is now using the same image from Site 2.

Hopefully this all makes sense & i look forward to your reply.

hi good one I like it

i use it to make it easy for user to upload image in a post not in comments and it upload the image but did not show it in post! is there a way to do that please?

in other word how can i make work for post too.

When a user tries to upload anything other than JPEG it gives them a very ugly error with some of my root folders exposed. Any chance of implementing some error handling so a prettier error message is produced telling them to only upload JPGS?

here is what they currently see:

Hi.
I installed your plugin and try to upload some images.
There is no error message, everthing’s fine, but no uploaded images appeared on the server in the Comment-Image folder.
The permission is 777.

Don’t know where’s the problem.

I have no time to test incompatibilities on that period of year. I annotated the conflicting plugin thought.

It doesn’t work for me if I have this plugin enabled – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/comment-form-quicktags/ It just won’t upload the image at all, and the display of the Upload Image button is a little different to normal.

I’m bummed.

Thick box and other frameworks like that are difficult to manage cause each theme can include something incompatible with them. Yes, I can try to add such features but it usually will conflict with other plugins or themes… so, I’ll try, no grants it’ll work
