    Release notes?
    ==================

Did anybody see ‘release notes’ on this website, which explain in some detail what new features / bug fixes have been implemented by which release/put?

When I pause a newsletter that is sending and Edit the content, will the edited newsletter be send when I resume the sending or will it contain the old content?

    Hi
can anyone tell me the correct way to add an image to our newsletter? it picks up the images in the blogs ok, but when I want to add images, they are turned into html code, and everything after them in the newsletter is lost. I have been trying to copy and paste them into the newsletter, which looks ok until you send a test copy when you see it hasn’t worked at all.
I see that you need to insert images using a url, but I am not technically minded enough to know how to find out the url of the image I want to insert. Does that mean that you first must upload the image into a folder within your site for it to be used? How do I then find the url address so that I can link it in the newsletter?
any help would be appreciated, as I am totally stumped.

      Hi Deb,
you can find the url of an image if you right click on a image. In Firefox you will find “Copy Link Location” and in Opera “Copy Image Adress” or something like that.

As you are advertising your newsletter especially on buddypress.org, what about some buddypress statistics sent to the user? Number of times his profile was visited, the latest activity on the platform, things like these – any ideas on how to realize this or to implement this in the pro version?

Hi, I’m absolutely NOT advertising the newsletter plugin on buddypress. More, I’m not advertising about it anywhere (except here, on my personal blog). Can you give me a reference so I can check it out?

      Hi guy,
what do you mean with different pages and different forms? If you want different subscription forms, you can define forms by html. But attention: all forms must refer to the newsletter page with “[newsletter]” as content.

If it’s just for statitics, you can work with a different parameter in the action of every form. Or you can use the server referrer in the thankyou page…

      Hi littleredhood,
see the guide. You will find a setup by a new page like “yourblog.com/newsletter/” and “[newsletter]” as content or by a widget or by a hard coded html form.

With the pro version, can you adjust the form fields from name/email to surname/first name/email etc?

      Co-ask for this question :-)
Not yet test your plugin already but it seems to be exactly what I need except that I must attach pdf with the newsletter.
Could you give us your feedback to know if I go further ?

      Thanks alot !

Thank you for the reply. You might consider adding this feature. You are thinking in terms of “newsletter” currently, if you think more a little bit in terms of newsletter AND press release/announcement manager, you might find a larger customer base.

    Salve,

Is Newsletter Pro capable of sending a copy of a post to subscribers when the post is published? In other words, not as a digest or at a set time, but at the time the post is posted?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Co-ask…it seems I have not found things like that elsewhere. So, if Newsletter Pro can do it, it will be a huge dream-come-true :)

No, there is not that feature… an what about if you press “puslish” wrongly?

      :-)

BTW, using the notification with a daily schedule it can be what you want… or you can create a theme that extract only the last post and compose and send a newsletter… but finally, not, there is not such a function (even if it is interesting).

    Hello there!

How to create a news from a specific categorie? Ex: show only the “news” categorie on template.

    Thanks!!
