Take a moment to subscribe my newsletter:

A new version of Newsletter Plugin has been released to fix some things and add others:

  • ability to edit a contact from manage page
  • added a system (experimental) to solve problem with providers with database connection timeout (works ONLY if you make the plugin folder writable) or strict query frequency limits
  • added translation support with .pot files (thank you to QMOZ)
My excuses for my bad english but it's the only way I have to communicate with you. Would you suggest a correction? Leave a comment, thank you!

    Hi,

After choosing an automatic update option everything went fine until plugin restart. I got information about unsuccesful plugin relunch caused by critical error.

I would appreciate any ideas helping me to fix this.
Can I go back to previous versions somehow?

    Best Regards,
    Kris

I don’t know why update failed… may be it was a problem of you hosting provider or permission setting on plugins folder?

      • Kris says:

Permission ware ok, I double checked it, but hosting might be a cause. The got something like Apache with some own solutions.

    Hi again,

When I checked folders on a server there was 2 of them missing after automatic update (choosen from plugins menu in admin site) – ‘languages’ and ‘themes’. I’m not sure about files (didn’t check them). Still don’t know what was the cause of the problem, but reinstallation solved it.

I thought that I’ll lost configuration data, but after installing the plugin again everything was like before.

What can I say then? Great job mate and great plugin.

Hope this message will be usefull for you.

    Best Regards,
    Kris

Uhm, there is no reason to lost configration data. It can happen only if you have problems with database. But if you don’t find the configuration, yes, I suppose it’s went away… I’m sorry about that.

      • Kris says:

No. Configuration was fine. It was the same after reinstallation.
Only two folders ware missing in main plugin folder.

        BR,
        Kris

You will delete my comments, I gues. It’s ok, I just wanted to let you know about my problem with update.
