Header and Footer Version 1.3.5

I’ve released many versions of Header and Footer WordPress plug-in recently without writing about it on this blog… so with today release (version 1.3.5) I want to spend some words about Header and Footer (it’s one of my preferred plug-ins).

Header and Footer is a simple plug-in that gives the blog owner full control of tracking codes (and not only) to be added on head section or footer section of bog pages.

Those tracking codes (usually supplied by Google Analytics, ClicTale, Kissmetric and many more 3rd party tools) should be inserted on head section of html pages, and they change from time to time due to tracking method improvements.

Instead of using specific plug-ins for any tracking services, with Header and Footer is easy to simply copy and past the supplied codes.

Is this activity limited to analytics services? No. Many time consultants need to add specific codes, like the Google Website Optimizer code or DFP codes or design specific CSS or Javascript. With Header and Footer there is no need to modify the theme (risking to loose the codes on theme change or upgrade) but you have a unique point of control for those codes injection.

Latest versions of Header and Footer have the ability to add codes just before or after the posts o pages content: I use this feature to add AdSense code and social button. For social buttons I don’t use anymore specific plugin, because the change too quickly and they have (see Facebook) many features not always available from integration plug-in. More, adding them manually I can control the layout!

Today releases adds the snippets, a configuration area where there are five free text area where codes can be added and then referred one or more time with a tag to avoid code duplication. for example I add the social buttons before and after the post, so I created a snippet with my social button and then used the snippet reference in post header and footer configuration.

Try it!

I’ve released many versions of the Header and Footer WordPress plug-in recently without writing about it on this blog… so today comes the release of version 1.3.5 and a short write up on the blog as i wanted to spend some time outlining some cool things about Header and Footer (it’s one of my preferred plug-ins).

Header and Footer is a wordpress plug-in that gives ‘You’ the blog owner full control of tracking codes (and not only) to be added in the header or footer section of blog pages.

Those tracking codes (usually supplied by Google Analytics, ClicTale, Kissmetric and many more 3rd party tools) should be inserted in the head section of html pages, and they change from time to time due to tracking method improvements / bug fixes or functionality changes.

Instead of using specific plug-ins for tracking services, with Header and Footer it is easy to simply copy and paste the supplied codes and the plugin will do the rest.

Is this activity limited to analytics services you ask ? No. Many times consultants need to add specific codes/code, like the Google Website Optimizer code or DFP codes or design specific CSS or Javascript tags and styles. With Header and Footer there is no need to modify the theme (risking the loss of codes/code on theme change or upgrade), instead you have a unique point of control for tracking codes/code (html or javascript) injection.

The latest versions of Header and Footer has the ability to add codes/code just before or after the posts on pages content: I use this feature to add ‘AdSense’ code and social buttons. For social buttons I don’t use any specific plugin, because they change too quickly and too often, and they have (see Facebook) many features not always available with plugin integration.by adding them manually using Header and Footer I can control the layout exactly as i wish !

Todays release adds the snippets, a configuration area where there are five free text areas where codes/code can be added and then referred one or more times with a tag to avoid code duplication. for example I added the social buttons before and after the post, so I created a snippet with my social button and then used the snippet reference in post header and footer configuration.
