Comment Image version 1.0.7
This is a patch to supportĀ Internet Explorer pjpeg (M$ sucks!) format for some jpeg image (the progressive ones). Thank you to kimyx.
Comment Image Version 1.0.5
This new version of Comment Image supports, other than jpeg, the gif and png formats. Special thank to Nico Hochberger for the piece of code. Really I have integrated only a part of the code due to other complicated logic to support multi image upload (still not publicly available), so the plugin accepts jpg, png and gif but generate the thumbnail always as jpeg.
Try it and let me know!

Comment Image Widget
As you can see and try on sidebar, there is a new widget connected with my Comment Image plugin. The widget displays all images added to a specific post by reader. The widget uses WordPress 2.8 new widgets system and is multi instance, so it can be added multiple times.
Do you like it? How much would you pay for it?
Comment Image Plugin Real Use Example
While I’m still waiting the WordPress approval to publish my Comment Image plugin, I want to share with you a blog where this plugin is used.
The blog is Periodo Fertile (can be translated to “Fertilty Days”) and there is a specific post where future moms can upload the picture of their belly.
Nice, isn’t it?
This is a good way to create a little bit of community around a pure informational site. Then, the blog uses Comment Notifier, so each new photo added with a comment will be notified to previous women left a comment.
Testing Comment Image
Comment Image is a plugin I wrote for myself time ago. I’ve just tried to install on this blog to see if it works (it requires a lot of tuning and modifications).
If you want to test it, note on the comment form a new field where you can add a JPEG image to a comment.
Let’s test!
