This new plugin, Dispatcher, is a mail sending plugin, but with an interesting feature: the audience can be defined by external sources.
For example, if you have a custom solution in your WP site that collects contacts, you can easily add that audience to Dispatcher and then compose and send emails without any other effort.
The current version provides two audiences: all WP users and WP users filtered by roles.
If they seem too simple, remember that all membership plugins use WP roles to classify the members!
The official Dispatcher page has some examples on how to add a new audience. Shortly, I’ll release a plugin demonstrating more sophisticated audiences. Stay tuned!
