Windows 8 Remote Desktop Client Very Slow (Solved)

Since I moved from Windows 7 to Windows 8 I was unable to work with a customer which gave me a desktop remote access. The interface was so slow that any activity was almost impossible to complete.

I have two gateway with different internet providers and nothing changed switching from ont to the other.

From my office, colleagues with Windows 7 was able to connect to the same Windows server with Remote Desktop without issues.

The problem has been solved running the cmd as administrator and giving that command:

netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled

found here.

Solved. I’m starting to think that a Windows 7 downgrade would be more than useful… It makes me remember when people moved from Windows XP to Windows Vista…
