After long time… some plugin updates

Today, I released an update for a few plugins at least to declare compatibility with WordPress 6.9. They were already compatible, but on occasion, I’ve even made small changes to align with the security and coding standards of WordPress (yes, only partially).

The updated plugins are:

  • Comment Notifier, a plugin that offers the subscription option to new comments on a post. I’ve used it for years to build communities on site, only using the comment system of WordPress (when comments were the main way to interact)
  • Thumbnails, born to create pixel-exact sizes for images without registering a new size and clogging up the media folder with tons of image variants. Useful to avoid running the regenerate thumbnails when you change the theme.
  • Include Me, a very old plugin to include external PHP files. A bad practice from the WP point of view, but if used by a savvy developer, it can be very handy.
  • Head and Footer, the simplest injection plugin you can install. Still very appreciated even with an old admin interface.

Have a nice WordPressing.
